Recent reports from July 2025 through May 2026 consistently mentioned a €1.7 million purchase option for Al Akhdoud, which was not activated. The loan deal itself reportedly included a €215,000 fee paid to Porto in July 2025. A June 2024 report mentioned he cost Porto €4 million, though available data shows his completed transfer from Portimonense to Porto in September 2022 was for a fee of €1.0 million.

Our valuation is driven primarily by the recent €1.7 million purchase option included in Samuel Portugal's loan to Al Akhdoud. The fact this option was not activated following the club's relegation suggests his current market value is likely at or below that figure. Considering his age and his €1.0 million transfer fee to Porto in 2022, we estimate his value to be slightly lower than the unexercised option.
