Samuel Portugal Transfer from Porto to Al Akhdoud

A Bola reports on the loan transfer of Samuel Portugal to Al-Akhdoud. Samuel Portugal has been loaned to Al-Akhdoud, a club coached by Portuguese Paulo Sérgio, with the loan valid until June 30, 2026. The loan agreement includes a loan fee of 215,000 euros and an option to purchase for 1.7 million euros. FC Porto highlighted that the transfer did not involve any mediation.

Samuel Portugal is on the verge of leaving FC Porto to join Al-Akhdoud on a one-season loan. The arrangement includes a provision for FC Porto to extend Samuel Portugal's contract until September 2026, ensuring he does not enter the final year of his contract post-loan. Al-Akhdoud will pay a modest loan fee and take on Samuel Portugal's wages, with an offer of a higher salary compared to his current earnings at FC Porto. The player has already undergone medical examinations at Porto and is set to travel to Saudi Arabia shortly to revive his career, having never officially played for Porto's main squad. The Brazilian goalkeeper is set to join the Saudi Arabian club Al-Akhdoud, under the guidance of Portuguese manager Paulo Sérgio. At 31, Samuel Portugal is keen to reignite his career following the lack of opportunities to debut for Porto's first team.
