Rudy Galetti reports that Olympique Lyonnais are among several clubs that are tracking and have made enquiries for Zinedin Smajlović. Smajlović is a 23-year-old Sandefjord center-back who holds both Swedish and Bosnia-Herzegovinian nationality. The Norwegian club is reportedly not compelled to sell the player. Other interested teams include Olympiacos, Hull City, Rangers, Fenerbahce, Toulouse, and Feyenoord. It is said that Celtic has submitted an improved offer for Smajlović worth a fixed €4.5 million plus €2 million in bonuses. Smajlović has been capped three times for the Sweden U21 team. He joined Sandefjord in February 2025 and is under contract until the end of 2028. In the 2025/2026 Eliteserien season, he has made 10 appearances and provided one assist. According to reports from June 2026, Sandefjord's asking price was between €5m and €6m, and Olympiacos had made offers up to €4m plus bonuses.
