Sky Sports reported that following Bristol City's defeat on Friday, the club's Championship rivals Wrexham had agreed a deal to sign the currently injured Kenyan and English centre-back Zak Vyner. The 28-year-old, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season, is expected to undergo a medical with Phil Parkinson's side on Saturday. When asked by Bristol Live about the potential January move, Bristol City head coach Gerhard Struber said he had no further information and that he did not have control over the matter. Struber added that losing Vyner would mean losing a good player and a significant personality in the dressing room. Vyner joined Bristol City in July 2016 and has made 27 appearances in the Championship this season. His current Transfermarkt market value is €2.80m.
