River Plate is seeking to sign Argentinian-Syrian defender Zaid Romero as a defensive reinforcement, and a report states that initial contacts have been made. Romero has two years remaining on his contract with Club Brugge, which places the Belgian club in a strong negotiating position. Club Brugge completed his transfer from Estudiantes in July 2024 for a fee reported to be between €5.5 million and €6.0 million.
