Southampton are one of several clubs pursuing a loan deal for Nottingham Forest defender Zach Abbott. Football Insider was told by sources that Millwall, Watford, and Hibernian are also interested in the 20-year-old. The English centre-back, who is described as highly-rated, could have his first loan spell away from the club as manager Oliver Glasner reorganises his defence, having recently added Ousmane Diomande and Daniel Munoz. Abbott has two caps for England's U20 side, and his contract with Forest is valid until June 2029. His current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
