According to an Israeli publication, Panathinaikos is interested in acquiring 26-year-old Yarden Shua, the captain of Beitar Jerusalem, immediately. The Greek vice-champion has been following the Israeli international midfielder for the past few months and has decided to enter immediate negotiations with him. There is a release clause in Shua's contract with Beitar Jerusalem amounting to 1.5 million euros. Shua's contract with the club runs until June 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €2.0 million.
