Yannick Toure is on the verge of signing with Osijek following successful medical examinations. According to reports from the Swiss media, Osijek is expected to be his next club. Last season, Toure made 32 appearances for Aarau, netting 12 goals and assisting twice. The transfer seems to be influenced by Aarau's unsuccessful bid for promotion to the Swiss Super League. The 24-year-old Swiss forward, who has Senegalese roots, was instrumental in Aarau's campaign, which saw them finish as runners-up in the Challenge League. However, they failed to secure promotion after losing the play-offs to Grasshoppers. Despite Aarau extending Toure's contract until 2026, his absence from the initial training sessions fueled transfer speculations, which were swiftly confirmed to involve Osijek. His signing is part of Osijek's strategy to strengthen their attacking line, which, apart from top scorer Arnel Jakupović, had a challenging season.
