Tunisian international Yan Valery is close to joining Young Boys on loan from Sheffield Wednesday for the rest of the season, a move that is scheduled to happen after the English transfer window has closed. The Owls are expected to accept an offer from the Swedish side after holding talks with the 26-year-old defender. Valery will not be involved in the upcoming Swansea game on Sunday. The Star's Joe Crann has previously described the player as being strong. Valery, who has 20 caps for Tunisia, has made 23 appearances and provided one assist this season. He joined the club in July 2024 with his contract running until June 2027, and has also been linked with Wrexham, Rangers and Millwall. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.30m.
