Yahia Fofana Transfer from Angers SCO to Torino

Torino is interested in Yahia Fofana but must first part ways with their current goalkeeper before advancing with an offer.

Torino is considering Yahia Fofana from Angers as a replacement for their current goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, who is being targeted by Napoli. A first concrete approach has been made by Torino's management, according to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Fofana is under contract with Angers until June 2026.

Torino has demonstrated a strong interest in Yahia Fofana, having scouted him during a match against Nantes and maintained their attention on him since his inaugural season at Angers in 2022. The uncertainty surrounding the future of Torino's current goalkeeper, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, has heightened their interest in Fofana. Recognized as a standout performer for Angers, Fofana is available on a free transfer due to a release clause in his contract, which has one year remaining. This situation has drawn the attention of several clubs, with Torino emerging as a particularly serious contender for his signature. The Italian club's scouting efforts were noticeable during Angers' 1-0 victory at Nantes on May 4th, and they have been diligently tracking Fofana's development since his debut season. With the potential departure of Milinkovic-Savic this summer, Torino considers Fofana a viable replacement. Angers, having acquired Fofana for free from Le Havre, could make a significant profit, with the expected transfer fee ranging from 8 to 10 million euros.
