Manchester United are attempting to sign Xavier Parker, a 16-year-old attacking midfielder, from Manchester City. Parker is an England U16s international who joined City from West Ham in 2024. It is reported that he is one of two young players United are targeting from their rivals. The potential move is being compared to the 2023 transfer of the Fletcher twins, for which United paid City £1.25m in compensation. In the 2025/2026 U18 Premier League season, Parker made 13 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists. Liverpool have also been linked with the player.
