KAA Gent is seeking a replacement for the departing Tuyoshi Watanabe and considers Xavier Mbuyamba the ideal candidate. Mbuyamba, a 23-year-old central defender, has a contract with FC Volendam until 2026 with a market value of 1 million euros. However, Volendam is open to a sale for 500,000 euros after Mbuyamba refused to extend his contract. KAA Gent hopes to act quickly to secure the transfer and outcompete other interested clubs.
