Wesley leaving Flamengo?

Manchester City is interested in acquiring Wesley, a Brazilian right-back currently owned by Flamengo. The club is looking to bring him to Europe. The interest comes after Wesley was close to joining Atalanta a year ago, but the transfer failed due to scheduling conflicts with Flamengo's Copa Libertadores and Brasileirao commitments. The deal with Atalanta was reportedly closed at sixteen million euros plus four million in bonuses, but Flamengo's delay led Atalanta to withdraw and pursue other options.

Manchester City are pushing for Flamengo wonderkid Wesley as Pep Guardiola's side reportedly aim to beat Manchester United to his services.

During the winter transfer window, Zenit St. Petersburg showed interest in the 21-year-old Brazilian footballer Wesley. Flamengo rejected Zenit's offer of €25 million for Wesley. The player reportedly has a strong interest in moving to Europe.

Wesley has already been subject to an offer from Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Wesley is in high demand and is almost certain to leave Flamengo in the middle of the year.

Manchester United are considering a move to sign Brazilian wonderkid Wesley from Flamengo this summer. The Brazilian club has set an intimidating asking price for the Brazilian full-back.
