Wesley Transfer from Flamengo to Everton
Everton, which is owned by the Friedkin group along with Roma, is considering purchasing Wesley and subsequently loaning him to Roma with a mandatory purchase clause. This strategy is feasible because Everton is not subject to UEFA competitions' financial fair play rules, allowing them to meet Flamengo's asking price. Initial discussions have taken place between Roma and Flamengo, with Flamengo's demand set at 30 million euros or potentially higher. Roma is trying to reduce this amount by proposing a deal that includes fixed fees, variables, bonuses, and resale percentages. Since Everton is not involved in UEFA competitions, they have the financial leeway to pay the full price, thus facilitating Wesley's transfer to Roma. Wesley's current salary is 400,000 euros, a figure that is manageable and unlikely to exceed two million euros post-transfer.
