According to the Brazilian portal Mix Vale, Zenit's Brazilian midfielder Wendel has attracted interest from both Flamengo and Palmeiras. The portal also reports that Botafogo continues to monitor the 28-year-old player, despite his transfer failing last summer. Zenit demands at least €20 million for the player. He joined the club on October 6, 2020 and is under contract until June 2029. Transfermarkt currently lists his market value as €18.00m. In the 2025/2026 Premier Liga season, Wendel has provided 3 assists in 12 appearances. He has previously earned 12 caps for the Brazil U23 national team.
