Walid Cheddira Transfer from Napoli to Schalke 04
Schalke 04 has submitted a proposal for Walid Cheddira, suggesting a loan with an option to purchase for approximately 4 million euros. Cheddira had been on the verge of joining Udinese, which had reached an agreement with Napoli for a loan deal involving a 200,000 euro fee and a purchase option that could potentially become an obligation at 3.5 million euros. Nonetheless, this arrangement collapsed because of Lukaku's injury, as Conte required a ready substitute for the first league games. Currently, Schalke 04's offer introduces a new possibility for the 27-year-old Moroccan centre-forward, who appeared in 22 matches with Espanyol last season, scoring once, and had previously played in Serie A with Frosinone, where he scored 7 goals in 35 appearances. Cheddira's contract with Napoli extends until 2028, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €2.50 million; Cagliari has also been associated with a possible move.
