Rapid has acquired Vladan Bubanja, its first transfer of the summer. Bubanja is a 27-year-old Montenegrin defensive midfielder and a three-time champion of Montenegro with FK Sutjeska Niksic. According to Transfermarkt, the player is reportedly valued at 750,000 euros. During the second part of the recently concluded season, Bubanja was on loan at NK Osijek in Croatia, having joined from the Russian club Orenburg. It is highly probable that Rapid will pay a transfer fee, as Bubanja's contract with Orenburg is set to expire in the summer of 2028. The Montenegrin international has one cap for his country. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 17 appearances and scored 2 goals for NK Osijek in the SuperSport HNL, in addition to 8 appearances for FC Orenburg in the Premier Liga.
