Gremio has a need to monetize because of a debt exceeding 20 million euros that was accumulated in the last quarter. Viery's contract with Gremio is valid until December 2029 and includes a 50 million euro release clause.

Tuttomercato reports that there is potential competition between Sartori and Fiorentina for Viery, who is a left-footed central defender from Gremio. It is reported that Gremio is asking for 15 million euros for the player.
