Rijeka is considering a Serbian goalkeeper, whose name the club is currently keeping secret. Sources from neighboring countries suggest that the player is Veljko Ilić. Ilić is a 22-year-old goalkeeper at Widzew Lodz. He transferred to the club last summer from TSC Bačka Topola for a fee of 500 thousand euros and was on the bench for the second part of the season. His contract with the Polish club is valid until June 2029. During the 2025/2026 season, he made 8 appearances in the Ekstraklasa for Widzew Lodz and 6 in the Super liga Srbije for his former club.
