Voetbalprimeur.nl reports that Panathinaikos showed interest in Vasilios Zagaritis last winter and that it appears likely the Greek club will approach again. Zagaritis has a contract until mid-2028.

According to Evangelos Michos at Sportdog, Vasilis Zagaritis is on the Panathinaikos list for the left-back position and is also being considered for the center-back role, making him a serious contender to strengthen the team. At least three major Greek clubs — Olympiacos, AEK, and Panathinaikos — are looking for a left-back, with the Greek nationality of Zagaritis being an additional motivation as it helps with the formation of the European squad list. The current contract of Zagaritis with SC Heerenveen runs until June 2028, with a club option for one more year. The report indicates Panathinaikos is making preparations for a summer move, which would require Giannis Alafouzos to pay for the transfer.
