Václav Černý Transfer from VfL Wolfsburg to Olympiakos Piraeus

Olympiacos, a Champions League side, are reportedly preparing a €9m bid for Vaclav Cerny, which may be enough to secure him from Wolfsburg, amidst Rangers' interest in keeping him.

Václav Černý has emerged as a primary target for Olympiacos as they aim to bolster their winger positions for the upcoming season, during which they will compete in the Champions League. Olympiacos is actively exploring the market to enhance their squad's overall level. The 27-year-old Czech winger, who is currently contracted with Wolfsburg until the summer of 2027, spent the previous season on loan at Rangers, where he made a notable impact by appearing in 52 matches, scoring 18 goals, and providing 9 assists in over 4,000 minutes of play. Although his loan agreement did not include a purchase option, Olympiacos is eager to secure Černý, whose market value is estimated at 9 million euros according to Transfermarkt. Černý, who has earned 24 caps and scored 7 goals for the Czech national team, is expected to return to Wolfsburg but remains a significant target in Olympiacos's transfer strategy.
