TYC reported that Ulises Ortegoza is a new signing for Racing. The 29-year-old midfielder underwent his medical examination and signed his contract with Racing. He is expected to join the squad for preseason training soon. Racing paid approximately one and a half million dollars for 100 percent of the player's rights, and he signed a contract for three and a half years.

The Academy will acquire 100% of the registration rights for a 29-year-old footballer from Talleres for approximately one and a half million dollars, and he will sign a contract with the Avellaneda side for three and a half years. The midfielder will arrive from Talleres at the special request of Vojboda. Ortegoza had previously expressed to the T’s directors his desire to join the Avellaneda club. According to the outlet Racing de Alma, an important executive of the Córdoba side acknowledged that the player told them he wants to go to Racing and that they have the commitment to support him.

According to TYC, Racing has made a formal offer for Talleres de Córdoba's Chilean-Argentinian defensive midfielder, Ulises Ortegoza. Racing is seeking to reinforce its squad following the contract termination of Bruno Zuculini. The new coach for Racing, Juan Pablo Vojboda, wants the 29-year-old. Ortegoza reportedly views the move as a positive step in his career. At the request of their new manager Jorge Sampaoli, Talleres is interested in Racing's central defender Nazareno Colombo; however, the negotiations for Ortegoza will proceed separately, with no player being included as part of the deal. Racing intends to acquire 100% of Ortegoza's registration rights and is optimistic that the agreement can be finalized in the coming hours. Ortegoza has one cap for Chile, joined Talleres in June 2022, and has a contract until the end of 2027. He has made 14 appearances and provided two assists in the Torneo Apertura this season. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.80m.
