Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic are pursuing Burton Albion forward Tyrese Shade. Their pursuit has been encouraged by comments from Burton's manager, Gary Bowyer. Bowyer has confirmed that it is probable Shade will leave the club before the transfer window closes on 1 September. He suggested that Burton Albion is actively looking for his replacement and expects some offers for Shade to be made in the next couple of weeks. According to the BBC, Bowyer said he anticipates receiving several bids in the next three weeks or so. He also commented that Burton will need to replace Shade and might also sign one or two additional players for that position.

Charlton Athletic are interested in Burton Albion's 26-year-old St. Kitts & Nevis international winger, Tyrese Shade. Portsmouth is also an interested party. The two clubs join Lincoln City, which has previously had bids for the player rejected. Reports from August 2026 indicated that Burton Albion rejected multiple bids of around €2.4 million from Lincoln City and also turned down a significant offer from another unnamed club. His contract with the club is valid until June 2027, and his current market value is €250k, according to Transfermarkt.
