Tuttomercato has reported on the potential transfer of the 33-year-old Italian defender, Tommaso Silvestri, to Sorrento. Sorrento is targeting Silvestri, who is expected to depart Catania after just six months. During his time at Catania, he scored one goal in 16 appearances. Prior to this, he had been on loan to Audace Cerignola, where he also scored one goal in 14 matches. Silvestri, currently not part of the squad, is also attracting interest from Dolomiti Bellunesi. This move aligns with Catania's strategy to streamline their squad and cut down on the wage bill, with Silvestri not being part of the club's future plans. His contract with Catania extends until June 2026, and his market value, as noted by Transfermarkt, stands at €150k, a decline from his peak value of €425k in 2021.
