Tomasz Makowski joined Polonia Warszawa on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with Zagłębie Lubin, where he last played. He signed a contract with Polonia Warszawa that is valid until the end of the 2027/2028 season and contains an option to extend for an additional year.

After four years with Zagłębie Lubin, 26-year-old Polish defensive midfielder Tomasz Makowski is set to join Polonia Warszawa. Tomasz Włodarczyk of Meczyki.pl reports that Makowski will join on a free transfer, as his expiring contract was not renewed, and that he is currently undergoing medical tests. A contract is expected to be signed after the medicals are completed. Makowski has two caps for the Poland U21 national team and a current Transfermarkt market value of €250k.
