Rheinische Post had previously reported that Tomáš Čvančara, a 26-year-old Czech Republic international, has been linked with AGF. His club Borussia Mönchengladbach has been actively working to find a new team for the forward this summer. Alex Silvestre of El Chiringuito TV reported that Čvančara was offered to La Liga club Valencia on Tuesday. A transfer did not happen. The forward, who has 8 caps and 1 goal for his country, has a contract with the German club until June 2028 and a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.00m. He originally joined Gladbach from Sparta Prague in July 2023 for a reported €10.5M, and a loan to Celtic in January 2026 included a purchase option of around €8M, which the Scottish club did not exercise.
