VfB Stuttgart is interested in signing Tim van der Leij, a 20-year-old Dutch striker at RKC Waalwijk, this summer. The forward, who scored seventeen goals in 38 official matches last season, is under contract at RKC until the summer of 2028 after joining on a free transfer from Vitesse in 2025. A fee of 1 million euros plus bonuses would be required for Van der Leij, whose transfer value is currently estimated by Transfermarkt at 400,000 euros. VfB Stuttgart's plan is for the striker to first gain experience for a year with their second team before being prepared for playing time in the first team. Several other clubs have also been linked with the forward, including NAC Breda, Westerlo, OH Leuven, and Gent.
