Junior national team goalkeeper Tim Pfeiffer is transferring from FC Basel to Gladbach. The 21-year-old was born in Germany and has been with the Swiss club since the U9 level. He has only played for their U21 side in the third Swiss league and has not made a senior appearance. The transfer is expected to be made official on Tuesday. It is reportedly independent of the club's other first-team goalkeeper plans. According to BILD, Pfeiffer is initially intended for Gladbach's U23s in the Regionalliga West, where he will complete the reserve team's goalkeeping trio.
