Tim Oermann leaving VfL Bochum 1848?

Tim Oermann is unlikely to transfer to 1. FC Köln. Sky reports that Bayer Leverkusen plans a loan move for the player, but not to Geißbockheim (home of 1. FC Köln).

Bayer Leverkusen plans to loan Tim Oermann for the 2025/26 season, with Colonia being one of the most probable destinations. Colonia is currently competing for promotion to the Bundesliga.

1. FC Köln is mentioned as a potential loan club for Tim Oermann, should Bayer Leverkusen acquire him this summer. The intention is to allow Oermann to gain first league experience while being loaned from Bayer Leverkusen.

1. FSV Mainz has shown interest in Tim Oermann. They will have a chance to sign him if the deal with Bayer Leverkusen does not go through.

If Bochum is relegated, Oermann, along with Bero and Sissoko, is expected to be sold to capitalize on their combined value of 14.5 million euros.

Tim Oermann, a 21-year-old center-back, has attracted the interest of 'financially strong first division clubs'. He has a release clause in his contract, which is valid until 2026, that allows him to leave if VfL Bochum is relegated. Due to the lack of a sports director at Bochum after Marc Lettau was relieved of his duties in October, contract extension talks are on hold. Therefore, Bochum can only expect an appropriate transfer fee for Oermann in the upcoming summer.
