Swiss goalkeeper Tim Hottiger, aged 21, has joined FC Luzern from FC Lausanne-Sport, signing a contract that runs until the end of December 2026. The transfer was announced just hours after Luzern confirmed that their youth goalkeeper, Jérôme Bieler, is currently injured. Hottiger progressed through the youth system at Lausanne-Sport before joining the first team, and he made 54 official appearances for the U21 side. During the latter half of the 2025/26 season, he was loaned to Xamax, where he played in three Challenge League matches. Sporting director Remo Meyer stated, as cited on the club's homepage, that Hottiger is a very good fit and will supplement the goalkeeping team until the end of the year to cover for Bieler's absence. According to Transfermarkt, Hottiger's market value is €100k.
