Tibe Vanhaeren has departed from Thes Sport to sign a three-year contract with Sporting Hasselt. The 21-year-old forward, who had an impressive season in the Eerste Nationale by scoring 15 goals in 24 matches, also made an impact in the Croky Cup with a goal against Seraing. Despite attracting significant interest from clubs such as Royal Antwerp FC, Lokeren-Temse, Lierse SK, and KVC Westerlo, he decided to join Hasselt for the next phase of his career. Sporting Hasselt, recognized for its ambition in the Eerste Nationale, successfully secured Vanhaeren's transfer, surpassing several competitors from the Jupiler Pro League and Challenger Pro League. Vanhaeren, who previously played in the youth teams of OH Leuven and Westerlo, aims to emulate Adriano Bertaccini's path, who also shone at Thes Sport before moving on to STVV via Luik.
