Atlético-MG announced the signing of the Uruguayan striker Thiago Borbas, aged 24, on a loan deal with an option to buy. The contract is subject to the approval of medical examinations. Thiago Borbas belongs to Bragantino and was on loan at Real Oviedo, Spain. During his time at Real Oviedo in the 2025/2026 LaLiga season, he made 12 appearances without scoring. Borbas joined Red Bull Bragantino in January 2023, with his contract running until the end of 2027. He has been capped twice for the Uruguayan national team. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €3.50m.
