Thalys Transfer from Palmeiras to Almería

Palmeiras formalized the transfer of Thalys to Almería for 6 million euros. Palmeiras retains 20% of the profit from any future sale of the player. Thalys arrived in Spain over the weekend and was waiting for bureaucratic procedures, including medical examinations, to finalize the transfer.

Palmeiras is close to finalizing the sale of Thalys, a young talent from their youth categories, to Almería, which is currently in the 2nd division of Spain. ESPN reported that the Spanish club will pay around 7.2 million euros (R$ 45.5 million) for the 20-year-old player. Palmeiras will retain 25% of any future sale gains. The clubs are aligning the final details to officially announce the deal. Thalys bid farewell to Palmeiras in the Brazilian U-20 title match against Red Bull Bragantino, where he scored in the penalty shootout.

Mundo Deportivo reports on the transfer agreement between Almería and Palmeiras for Brazilian forward Thalys. Almería and Palmeiras have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Brazilian forward Thalys for six million euros and 20% of a future sale for the Brazilian club. This addition is necessary for Almería following the departure of their main forward Luis Suárez.

Thalys, a 20-year-old Brazilian forward from Palmeiras, was initially close to joining Olympiacos. However, Almeria intervened at the last moment and made the same offer as Olympiacos: 7 million euros for 70% of his rights, keeping 30%. Thalys chose to move to Almeria, seeing it as the best decision for his career, rejecting Olympiacos. The player's contract with Palmeiras runs until the end of 2029, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2 million.
