Tetê Transfer from Panathinaikos to Grêmio
ESPN reports that Grêmio intends to bring Tetê back for 2026 and has initiated talks to sign the player from Panathinaikos. The Greek club is requesting approximately 5 million euros, equivalent to more than R$ 32 million, for the forward's release. The asking price is presently an obstacle, leading the Grêmio board to approach the negotiations cautiously and avoid creating high expectations. The desire of the 25-year-old player to return to Brazil, particularly to the club where he was developed, is advantageous for Grêmio.
Grêmio has reportedly started negotiations with the representatives of Panathinaikos' Brazilian winger Tetê regarding a potential return to Brazil. The move would be to the club where he developed, although he never played for the first team. The 25-year-old has a contract with Panathinaikos until the summer of 2028. When approached by media upon arriving in Porto Alegre for his holidays, Tetê stated that his agent, Pablo, handles such matters. He added that he was very happy and considered it a very nice move, but did not wish to elaborate further on the subject. Tetê, who has played twice for the Brazil U23 team, joined the Greek club in July 2024 for a fee reported to be €4.8 million and has 2 goals and 3 assists in 13 league appearances this season. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €11 million. Several other Brazilian clubs, including Flamengo and Fluminense, have previously been linked with a move for the player.
