According to Aftonbladet, Tesfaldet Tekie will leave Hammarby after the season.

Tesfaldet Tekie stated that Hammarby had wanted to extend his contract, but the situation has changed, making an extension more unlikely. Tekie said his contract expires in three months and that he could end up at another Allsvenskan club. He confirmed that a contract proposal from Hammarby was made but has been paused. Tekie mentioned interest from several clubs, both in Allsvenskan and abroad, for almost the entire year. He said he has always wanted to stay, but the situation has changed because there are no ongoing negotiations.

Hammarby's sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg said that he does not believe Tesfaldet Tekie will be sold. Hjelmberg stated that they do not want to sell and do not need to sell, and nothing interesting has come in.

Aftonbladet reports on the contract situation of Tesfaldet Tekie with Hammarby. Tekie's contract with Hammarby expires this winter, and he has received interest from other clubs. The midfielder has indicated that he would prefer to stay at Hammarby, but negotiations for a new contract are currently paused. Tesfaldet Tekie stated that if he has to be a rotation player, it probably will not work. Tekie also said there is a possibility he could leave the club this summer. If he is not a starting player in Henrik Rydström's Hammarby, extending the contract is not a possibility.
