Tatsuki Seko, a 28-year-old midfielder from Japan, has completed a permanent transfer from Stoke City to J1 League team Urawa Reds for an undisclosed fee. This concludes his two-year period with the club at the bet365 Stadium. The midfielder made 75 appearances after joining from Kawasaki Frontale in 2024. His departure followed Stoke's reinforcement of their midfield options, and Seko had not been involved in the season's first two matches. According to the club website, Sporting Director Jonathan Walters described Seko as a good character and an excellent professional. Walters confirmed that the player and his family were open to a return to Japan and that after an agreement was reached with Urawa, Seko departed with the club's gratitude and best wishes for his future. His contract with Stoke was due to expire in June 2027 and his current market value on Transfermarkt is €1.00m.
