RB Leipzig reportedly has serious interest in US Sassuolo's 22-year-old central defender, Tarik Muharemovic. The Bundesliga club is prepared to offer a transfer fee of €25 million plus potential bonuses. However, Leipzig has competition from other clubs in England and Italy. Inter Milan and AFC Bournemouth are also said to be interested. Giovanni Carnevali, Sassuolo's CEO, recently explained that while there have been some inquiries, including from Inter and Bologna, no official offers have been submitted yet. Carnevali also stated that the club is not required to sell the Bosnian international. Muharemovic has 10 caps and 1 goal for his country, and his contract runs until 2031. In the current Serie A season, he has made 15 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists. Sassuolo signed Muharemovic permanently from the second team of Juventus in July 2025 for three million euros, and Juventus secured a 50-percent share of any future sale. In December 2025, Sassuolo's valuation was reportedly between €20 and €25 million. The player's current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €14.00m.
