Takato Yamamoto, an 18-year-old midfielder, has joined Borussia Dortmund on a one-year loan from Gamba Osaka. It is reported that Borussia Dortmund has a purchase option for Takato Yamamoto. Paul Schaffran, NLZ-Leiter, stated that Takato is a player who convinced them from the beginning and brings the exact qualities they want to see in their game. Schaffran added that they are convinced he will take the next step in his development with them. Takato Yamamoto said he still finds it difficult to believe and described Borussia Dortmund as a big club. In his home country, Yamamoto is considered a great talent and he impressed Dortmund's scouts with his progressive style of play. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €175k.
