Both Standard Liège and Zulte Waregem were interested in signing 24-year-old Bulgarian winger Sylvester Jasper from his Serbian club, Zeleznicar Pancevo. Zulte Waregem had a bid for the player rejected a few days ago. Subsequently, Standard submitted an offer of 1.2 million euros. Sacha Tavolieri reports that the Serbian club has reportedly accepted this offer. Tavolieri further states that Jasper has also given his personal agreement for the transfer to Standard. While the final details between the clubs still need to be settled, the transfer is considered to be in its final stages, according to the same source. Jasper did not travel with his team to Braga for their Conference League second qualifying round match. Jasper has four caps for the Bulgaria U21 team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.80m. In January 2026, Železničar Pančevo reportedly set a €2,000,000 asking price after rejecting a €1,300,000 offer from SC Freiburg. Jasper had joined the club on a free transfer in July 2025.
