According to Index.hr, Osijek has accepted an offer for Armenian defender Stjopa Mkrtčjan. The offer is reportedly worth 800,000 euros. Mkrtčjan joined Osijek in the summer of 2023 from Ararat, initially on loan before he was bought for 300,000 euros, and has played a total of 59 matches for the club. In the current season, Mkrtčjan started as a regular starter but has lost that status in recent matches.

Stjopa Mkrtčjan was considering a loan move, which he insisted on for a while. However, after playing a full match against Dinamo, the loan move was halted.

Stjopa Mkrtčjan's future is uncertain as he will not have guaranteed minutes and starter status at Osijek in the continuation of the season. After losing the entire autumn due to injury, he wants to go on loan to a club where he can play continuously.
