According to De Telegraaf, PSV has placed Stije Resink on a list of potential replacements should Joey Veerman transfer to Fenerbahçe. The same publication reports that the 22-year-old FC Groningen captain is also the subject of strong interest from Ajax. Ajax is expected to wait until the summer to make a move, at which point a buyout clause in his contract of around six million euros reportedly becomes active. De Telegraaf adds that Sebastian Szymański and Gustavo Hamer are also among the alternative candidates PSV is considering. The club is exploring these options because their preferred candidate, Kodai Sano, was deemed too expensive, according to De Telegraaf. Rik Elfrink of Eindhovens Dagblad reports that PSV will not pay NEC's twenty million euro asking price for Sano.
