Maccabi Tel Aviv is interested in Stelios Andreou, a 23-year-old defender for Widzew Łódź. It is reported that the Israeli club has started preliminary talks to acquire the Cypriot international. A transfer may be difficult, as it is believed the management of the Ekstraklasa club has its own expectations for any potential deal. This is not the first time Andreou has been a transfer target; during the winter, Tomasz Włodarczyk reported that Widzew rejected an offer for the player from KAA Gent. It is also mentioned that other clubs are interested in the defender. Andreou has 30 caps and one goal for Cyprus, joined his current club in August 2025, and is under contract until June 2029. He made 18 league appearances in the 2025/2026 season, and his current Transfermarkt valuation is €2.00m.
