Olympique de Marseille inquired about Soungoutou Magassa a few days ago but, following the inquiry, lacked the financial means to pursue the transfer further.

According to Foot Mercato, Marseille have expressed an interest in signing Soungoutou Magassa. Galatasaray, Eintracht Frankfurt and Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder. Neither Lyon nor Marseille has submitted an offer yet. Reports from earlier this week suggested that Magassa is widely expected to leave before the transfer deadline. Magassa is under contract until 2031.

Soungoutou Magassa is expected to depart West Ham before the transfer window closes, with multiple clubs reportedly interested. The Ligue 1 teams Marseille and Lyon have both made enquiries for the 22-year-old French U23 international midfielder in recent weeks. However, no concrete offers have yet been made for the player. Magassa, who also holds Malian nationality, joined the East London club from AS Monaco last summer and has five years remaining on his contract. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €17.00m.
