Voetbalnieuws.be reports that clubs from French Ligue 1 are interested in Souleyman Doumbia.

Charlotte FC announced the acquisition of defender Souleyman Doumbia on loan until December 31, 2025, from the Belgian team Standard Liège. The club expressed their need to strengthen the left-back position and welcomed Doumbia, highlighting his experience in top European leagues such as Ligue 1 and the Belgian Pro League. Doumbia, an Ivorian international and Paris Saint-Germain academy product, previously had a successful stint at Angers SCO in Ligue 1.

Souleyman Doumbia is set to leave Standard Luik for a new challenge in the MLS. Charlotte FC intends to loan him until next winter without a purchase option.
