Fenerbahçe has submitted an official bid for Souffian El Karouani, a 25-year-old Moroccan defender from FC Utrecht. Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported on X that the Turkish club made an official offer for the left-back, and that El Karouani has an expiring contract and is eager to move this winter. A potential transfer to Spartak Moscow last summer was not completed because Utrecht chose not to do business with the Russian club. It is said that El Karouani is open to a move. VfL Wolfsburg, West Ham United, Leeds United, and FC Porto have also been named as interested parties. Additionally, it is reported that Fenerbahçe could make the best offer. The defender has 5 caps for Morocco and has provided 2 goals and 9 assists in 16 Eredivisie appearances this season.
