Germanijak reports that 21-year-old Croatian attacking midfielder Šimun Mikolčić has agreed to a new contract with Osijek that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028. His previous contract was valid for a few more months, and there was a concern that Mikolčić could leave Osijek this summer without a transfer fee. The negotiations lasted for some time. The club insisted on a four-year term, while the player wanted a shorter period. They reached a compromise of two and a half years. Mikolčić has 3 caps and 1 goal for the Croatia U21 national team. In the current 25/26 season, he has made 15 appearances in the SuperSport HNL and scored 2 goals. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated to be €300k.
