Following an excellent season, 29-year-old Italian midfielder Simone Pontisso has attracted interest from several clubs, with Hellas Verona and Benevento having shown the most concrete interest. Catanzaro considers Pontisso a key part of their plans and is not willing to sell him. According to La Gazzetta del Sud, the club would only consider his departure if they received an offer considered irresistible. Pontisso, who joined Catanzaro in July 2022, is under contract until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, the former Italy U20 international has a current market value of €1.20m.
