Mainz 05 are considering offering the DR Congo international winger Silas, who is 27 years old, a new contract despite his long injury break. Corresponding negotiations are scheduled for May. Silas joined Mainz in the winter for 150,000 euros from VfB Stuttgart. His current contract expires in the summer. Silas suffered a tibia and fibula fracture and will be out for several months.
