A report from Kicker states that Mainz has internally decided to exercise the extension option for Silas, despite the 27-year-old's injury. According to information from kicker, final talks are expected to happen this week. The total transfer fee is expected to be around 500,000 euros.

Mainz 05 are considering offering the DR Congo international winger Silas, who is 27 years old, a new contract despite his long injury break. Corresponding negotiations are scheduled for May.
