Young Boys announced on Friday evening that Sergio Córdova is leaving for Turkish second-division club Batman Petrolspor on an immediate loan, which includes a purchase option. This is the second consecutive loan for the 28-year-old Venezuelan international centre-forward, who played for St. Louis City in the MLS earlier in the year. Chief Sports Christoph Spycher recently stated that a change was likely the best solution. The striker departs after contributing two goals and three assists in 33 appearances for Young Boys since joining in July 2025. He has 19 caps for Venezuela. His contract with the Swiss club runs until June 2029, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €1.20m.
