The offer would allow Steur to upgrade and extend his contract, which expires in 2028, by two years until 2030, and includes a substantial upgrade. Steur previously rejected an approach from the club because Ajax blocked a loan move to FC Volendam at the last moment last summer. Additionally, a promise regarding playing time in the first team was not fulfilled. This season, Steur has made 3 appearances in the Eredivisie. The Netherlands U18 international has 6 caps and 2 goals for his country, and his current market value is €700k, according to Transfermarkt. Eintracht Frankfurt has also recently been linked with the player.
